Food Share and Energy Voucher Support

The Food Share is located in the High Green Community Shop.

Food and Hygiene Product support is now open for customers who have an accepted referral ONLY

at the following days and times :

Monday 9:30am - 12:00pm

Wednesday 12:30pm - 3:00pm

Thursday 12:30pm - 3:00pm

Support cannot be provided outside of these times. Customers must live within the areas of High Green, Chapeltown, Burncross, Grenoside or Ecclesfield.

You can also now refer people for energy voucher support.

Please note fuel vouchers are not distributed via the Food Share. It is important you advise clients that vouchers can take 3 - 7 days to process (this is outside of our control but we will always try to make the turnaround as short as possible). Please ensure they either have access to an email address and the ability to download a voucher or that they can collect from The Campus. Clients can claim 1 x £20 voucher per month.

To make a referral for someone in need of food, hygiene or fuel support please email referrals@hgdt.org with the name, address, email, telephone number and number of adults / children in the home and how you are related / supporting the person.

Referrals can be made by social workers, teachers or nursery staff, GPs and NHS staff, Police staff, or those working for charities working with those who may be facing poverty for reasons such as disability, unemployment, mental or physical health needs, the elderly or other vulnerability. You may self refer but please provide proof of eligibility.
